Rules​

​Everyone must complete and sign a Defensive Arms Academy Release, Waiver, Hold Harmless,  Indemnification and Assumption of Risk Agreement before being allowed to participate or observe the activities.  

1. Think SAFETY first and always.

2. All rules of the local range must be followed.

3. Eye protection must be worn by all shooters and spectators at all times.  Hearing protection is strongly encouraged.

4. Do not touch the firearms, ammunition, or other equipment without permission from the instructor.

5. Only one person is allowed to shoot at a time.

6. Only the shooter and instructor are allowed on the firing line.

7. All firearm loading, unloading, malfunction clearing, and weapons maintenance will be done by the instructor only.

8. Treat all firearms as if they are loaded.

9. All firearms will be pointed down range in a safe direction only.

10. All shooting will be done using both hands on the firearm.

11. The shooter must give their full attention to safely firing the weapon.

12. The shooter must keep their finger off the trigger until ready to shoot.

13. Do not aim or shoot at any unauthorized target, object, or anything else you are not allowed to shoot.

14. All shots fired must hit the backstop / berm. Uncontrolled shooting is not allowed.

15. Immediately stop shooting when anyone yells "CEASE FIRE".

16. Heckling or distracting the shooter is absolutely forbidden.

​17. No one is allowed beyond the firing line without approval from the instructor.

​18. All children must be supervised closely at all times.

19. Everyone must be 100% sober.  No alcohol or drugs allowed.

20. No disruptive behavior is allowed.

Violation of any of these rules can result in ending the shooting session early and removal from the range without refund.
